The contribution of development and reservoir geology to the exploration process

Abstract

The petroliferous fields, due to the great number of wells drilled in relative/y restricted areas, constitute valuable sources of information and knowledge of great usefulness in the exploration process. In this work some of this information and knowledge is discussed, calling attention to the importance of their use, each time more frequent, as a way to improve the research of new accumulations of petroleum in the sedimentary basins.
