Abstract

The technological learning process in developing countries begins with the operation of imported technologies and develops gradually, sometimes attaining the level of advanced and technologically innovative apprenticeship. The technological learning process of the teams responsible for exploration and exploitation at PETROBRAS began, as could be expected, through the operation of imported technologies. lt then evolved, in a firm and stable manner, through all the stages of technological learning process which technical teams in developed countries undergo. Today it is on the threshold of the advanced apprenticeship practiced in those countries.
